Internationalization and relations with developing countries

Promoting measures for the internationalization of innovative Italian contexts (universities, research centres, enterprises) is a relevant requirement of the economic and research system, both for supporting innovative processes (which increasingly originate from international networks of cooperation) and for improving business competitiveness.

There is a growing attention towards the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and lately South Africa), which represent strategic market areas and are become leading actors of the international political economy thanks to their levels of growth and a large availability of important resources.

Città della Scienza has started several programs in order to promote and support international networks of cooperation between the Italian innovation systems and some of these regions.
