Area and activities

The Children’s Workshop is based on an active experience of game and exploration, with a strong involvement of the perceptual, emotional and visual side. Learning is the result of the handing, exploration and interaction with each exhibit, all of them aimed to simplify children’s communication and socializing. In addition, theme-based tours including different educational moments: discussion, experiments, work on files.

Participatory planning with the schools: conception, planning and production of educational play spaces inside (classrooms, workshops, gyms) and outside (courtyard, gardens, etc.) with the involvement of students, teachers and experts.

A601 – Senses and perception (3-10 years old)

Discover the world around you through the five senses.

A602 – A work-in-progress house (3-8 years old)

Build a house in a real child-friendly building site.

A603 – The World of Ants (6-10 years old)

How does the society of ants work? Discover the secret life of ants through a visit to an anthill and workshop activities.

L252 – Water shapes (3-6 years hold, 75 minutes)

A series of exhibit with the water as main character, for learning its different shapes: the shape of the waves, tornadoes, fountains, and so on.

L253 – Discovering books (3-6 years old, 75 minutes)

An active game for preschool children, discovering the charm of a book. The children will listen a story and should find the required elements of the story into the books. The aim is to approach the book as a tool for getting information and knowledge.

L254 – Tales of the stars (5-8 years old)

Telling a story about American Indians, the children will discover the magic of the starry sky. Through other legends, they will find the constellations, learning what a star is made of.

L256 – Light and sight (6-10 years old)

A series of experiences for understanding the anatomy of the eye, the binocular vision, the perception of the colors and the relationship between eye and brain.

L257 – Sound and hearing (8-10 years old)

What is the ear made of and how it works? Discover how the sound is produced and how it travels up to the ear.

L258 – Unearthing fossils (5-8 years)

The children learn the paleontology and the different processes of fossilization. Then, into an excavation made on purpose, they experience the techniques for rescuing, recognizing and identifying the finds.

L259 – Touch, listen, watch, sniff and taste (3-5 years old)

A space with a lot of colors, mirrors, glasses, objects, sounds and lights, where the children use their  eyes, skin, ears and nose for discovering all the things around them.
