CHINA-ITALY SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION PROGRAM >  STARTUP 

During the China-Italy Science Technology and Innovation Week 2017, it will be held the second edition of the Italy – China Best Startup Showcase, a matching initiative between the best Italian and Chinese market-proven innovative start-ups, interested in internationalization, and both countries’ investors.

According to the chosen format, startups are the core of the event. They have the opportunity to introduce their projects to a qualified and wide audience composed by Italian and Chinese sponsors, incubators and experts, as well as to deepen discussion and exchange contacts through one-to-one meetings.

The program of the first edition, held during the Italy-China Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2016, was organized by Città della Scienza  with  PNI Cube, the Italian university incubators network, under mandate from the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and by the Ministry of  Economic Development (MISE) from the Italian side, and by the ITTN – International Technology Transfer Network – under mandate from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), from the Chinese side.

Through a selection 22 innovative startups – 11 were Chinese and 11 Italian – were identified and they all presented to the audience their projects through three minutes pitches.

The chosen startups’ industrial and technological sectors were: Health, Internet of Things, Environmental Technologies, digital fabrication and many more.
