Great success of the Italy-China Science, Technology & Innovation Week – 2016 Edition, to be held in Italy from 25 to 27 October with over 400 organizations and 600 participants who already registered!

Huge attention is paid to this event dedicated to exchange activities in the field of science and technology between the operators of the two Countries, aimed at creating technological, productive and commercial partnerships in the innovative research-enterprise contexts.

Due to the numerous universities, research centers, innovative companies and the Italian education system registered, the deadline of the Call for Participation has been extended to September 15, 2016, specifically for the requests to participate to B2B meetings (which only will take place in Naples), while the deadline for the registration to the event is September 30, 2016.

This year the main event will take place in Naples (October 26-27) in the presence of the Italian Minister Stefania Giannini and the Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang, and two territorial focuses will be organized: Bergamo on the topic of Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Healthcare Technologies (25/10) and Bologna on the topic of Agrifood (26/10).

The event follows the format developed over the years with seminars, round tables and B2B meetings. The B2B meetings will be held only in Naples.

Here the innovations of the 2016 edition: the Italy-China Best Startups Showcase, a special event dedicated to the innovative startups; the Digital Fabrication Zone, an area where the ideas developed by Italian and Chinese Makers can be shared to create new innovative projects; the Smart Cities Areafor the enhancement of best practices and research projects on smart cities and communities and the Education Programs and Agora with the aim to promote exchanges and cooperation for schools, universities, science centers and science museums.

Who can participate: enterprises and all public and private organizations (research centers, universities, regional innovation districts, enterprise-research clusters, science and technology parks, etc.) located in Italy, active in innovation and in the scientific research and technological and who are interested to find potential customers or partners of the People’s Republic of China.

How to participate: the participation to the event, to the B2B meetings and to the working sessions is free but subject to enrollment by filling in the registration form and subsequent confirmation by Città della Scienza.
