“We really believe in the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2015. The sixth edition of the Forum, thanks to the valuable work of organizing Vincenzo Lipardi and Città della Scienza, will bring together the excellence of Italian research and enterprise”.
The Minister of Education, University and Research Stefania Giannini presented this morning, in a press conference at the offices of the Ministry of Education, the Italian mission in China (November 16 to 20 in Beijing, Shanghai, Henan, Chongqing and Tianjin), which will aim to strengthen Scientific and Technologic partnerships with the Far Eastern Country. “This mission – explained the Minister – bring in China 170 Italian companies and more than 200 participants for an intensification and a reflection on strategic developments in science and technology sectors. The event proves once again the will to include in practice the research and business, as well as the number and quality of the delegation, through formal meetings and a comparison with the Chinese students”. Minister Giannini recalls how this year’s edition has been anticipated and valued during the Expo in Milan to expose the frame of the event and make clear the measures of a bilateral agreement that has its roots in 2004.
“The relationship between Italy and China could be defined as a natural partnership, bearing in mind the history, tradition and age-old power of the two Countries,” said Giannini.
Immediately after the Minister, the Ceo of Città della Scienza Vincenzo Lipardi took the floor recalling that the cooperation between Italy and China has taken over the years more and more important. “During the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2015 20 trade agreements will be signed as a result of intense work lasted all year. But we are already working for the future. With the Forum it was possible to establish a network between the research centres, universities, SMEs and large Italian companies. After having relocated enterprises in China, now we want to locate in Italy the Chinese companies that are increasingly looking to Europe, a concrete work made possible only thanks to perseverance”, concludes Lipardi.
