The “China Shanghai International Technology Fair (CSITF)” is the most important Chinese trade fair on advanced technologies and innovation services.

The event is coordinated by the Italian participation with the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Italian representative institutions in China: Embassy in Beijing, ​​ Consulate General in Shanghai and ICE-Italian Trade Agency with the support of Chinese Ministry of Commerce, MOST, State Office for Intellectual Property, Shanghai Municipal Government and UNIDO, UNDP and WIPO.

The fourth edition, to be held in Shanghai April 21 to 23 2016 at the World Expo Exhibition & The event will take place from 21 to 23 April 2016 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and Italy will be present as Country of Honour. The Italian Pavilion will be inaugurated by the Minister of Education, University and Research Stefania Giannini invited by the Mayor of Shanghai Yang Xiong as the representative of the Italian Government.

The program includes:

  • the institutional meeting of the Minister Stefania Giannini with representatives of the State Council of China, the Chinese Ministries (Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology) and the Shanghai Municipality;
  • work sessions on the topic of smart cities: 1) Society and Services, 2) Environment and Energy, 3) Building and Mobility;
  • booths inside the Italian Pavilion where research institutes and companies will exhibit projects and prototypes of their technologies.

The Italian participation will be hosted in two distinct areas: the first exhibition area will be equipped with booths and desk stations for the reception of visitors, while the second area will be dedicated to the winning projects of the tender on Smart Cities announced by the Italian Ministry of Education that joined the event.
