In the frame of Italy-China Science Technology and Innovation Week 2016, on 26th October, there will take place the conference “Investing on young talents and startup” focusing on the commitment of both governments in support of business creation and internationalization of startups.
In Italy, during last years, Government has promoted several incentives to support business (Fondo Rotativo per le Startup, Smart&Start) and internationalization, also providing tools that facilitate the launching of startup for foreign entrepreneurs (Startup Visa) .
The government’s strategy finds its corresponding part in local authorities action, starting from Campania Region strategy, through the only case of Department exclusively dedicated to startup at national level: the regional strategic choice prove the Administration’s particular attention on that topic, grimly believing that it is necessary to combine the growth drivers – Startup, Innovation and Internationalization – to enhance locale entrepreneurs competitiveness.
Stefano Firpo, Director General for industrial policy, competitiveness and SMEs at the MiSE, will present current national instruments to catalyze foreign stakeholders interest towards Italian startup. One of those instruments, Startup Visa, is a tool encouraging the presence of foreign entrepreneurs in Italy, revolutionizing the granting procedure of entry visas for self-employment and simplifying for non-EU citizens who wish to launch an innovative startup in our Country. During last years, Chinese government showed great attention to the theme of investing on young talents and startup, also through involvement in international cooperation projects. From 2014 to date, it has promoted the creation of about 1,600 hi-tech platforms to host entrepreneurial ventures, with an average of about 1,200 new innovative startups per month.
Beijing strongly focuses on investment in R & I activities and the take-up of new technologies – in particular through innovative solutions that startups can offer to large enterprises – to meet the challenges that the astonishing growth has brought with itself, and particularly to seize the opportunities of the coming years http://www.infodata.ilsole24ore.com/2016/10/04/cina-maxi-investimento-sulle-startup-tecnologiche/).
The experience of Netval (Network for the promotion of University research) will offer the panelists a contribution regarding the innovative processes that encourage the dynamics of idea generation, and the incentives to technology transfer and internalization good practices coming from internationalization offices that are part of its network, composed by 57 universities and 8 public research bodies.
