Best Startup Showcase-Entrepreneurship Competition (BSSEC) is the bilateral platform aimed at promoting internationalization of Italian and Chinese innovative enterprises (startups, spinoffs, SMEs). It offers the opportunity to get close, approach, do business and land in the two Countries and to meet investors, incubators, science parks and partners through an intense and qualified networking activity.  On November 25, 2019, the final of BSSEC was settled in Foshan, Guangdong province, with 30 teams competing for the top 3.

The networking session will gather finalists with stakeholders for a follow-up session.

FUTURE SCIENCE CITY

The Future Science City is one of the biggest national technological innovation centre in Beijing focusing on the field of advanced energy technology, advanced manufacturing and healthcare. Beijing Municipal Committee and the Beijing Municipal Government goal is to turn the Future Science City into one of the world’s leading innovation hubs. The Future Science City “Core” part is designed to be the “green center” where natural beauty blends perfectly with modern amenities.

The visit will include:

  • China Telecom Beijing Research Institute (CTBRI) aims to create a decision-making think tank, a technology innovation engine and a products incubator for the corporation and its provincial subsidiaries. CTBRI’s R&D innovations focus on enterprise strategy, fifth-generation mobile communication (5G); next-generation network system independent R&D; cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, Internet of Things, network security and application software development and product innovations.
  • National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE), affiliated to China Energy Investment Corporation Ltd. has gradually become an emerging power in clean energy field. NICE is especially dedicated to the development of low carbon and clean energy technologies and focus on innovative technologies to support the R&D activities in the field of clean coal conversion and utilization.
  • AVIC United Innovation Center (AVICUI) is an industry interconnection platform for “Internet, Innovation, R&D and Intelligent Manufacturing ” focusing on 10 major industries (such as Electronic Information, Robotics, Intelligent Manufacturing, Virtual Reality, New Materials, Artificial Intelligence, Drones, Internet of Things, Advanced Equipment and Health & Medical). It has become an outstanding E&I platform operator of the China’s central government enterprises.

TSINGHUA UNIVERSITYIntelligent Robot Research Center, Institute of Artificial Intelligence

The Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University is one of the earliest Chinese units to carry out research on intelligent robots. It includes the Intelligent Robot Research Center whose purpose is to turn the center into an intelligent robot research institute with national and abroad influence.

The visit is organized within the China-Italy Laboratory in Advanced Manufacturing (CI-LAM) promoted by Tsinghua University, University of Bergamo, University of Naples Federico II and the incubator Campania NewSteel.

After the visit to the labs, CI-LAM will introduce its activities and the next edition of the Summer School to be held in Beijing 2020. In July 2019 students from Italy and China attended the first CI-LAM Summer School in Naples-Italy, aiming at getting in touch with the scientific and industrial environment and working on specific pilot projects for the Joint Laboratory. Delegates from Universities interested to join the Summer School are invited to join the visit.

YINFENG INTERNATIONAL BIO-CITY
The Life Science City of High-tech Zone in Jinan, is represented by the Yinfeng Real Estate Group one of the top-ranking biotech park of China. Yinfeng Real Estate Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the 2014 Nobel Prize winner Dr. Edvard I. Moser to establish a Nobel Prize Workstation for the development of biomedical industry.

 

ZHONGYI (SINO-ITALIAN) SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY CITY IN ZHANGQIU DISTRICT
The Sino-Italian Science and Technology Industry City was launched by Jinan City and Zhangqiu District. The Park will include five main areas: Medicare Technology, Innovation, Education, Residence, Commerce. At present, almost 10 Italian institutes and enterprises have expressed their intention to be involved in the project.
