Italy-China Science, Technology and Innovation Week 2016

The China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week is a matchmaking event held once a year in alternate years, in Italy and in China, where Chinese and Italian companies, universities, research centres and public bodies, have the opportunity to exchange information and have B2B meetings to present their technologies. The overall aim is to encourage cooperation and business opportunities between the two countries. In 2013 the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week brought together in a single back-to-back format the two main events of Sino-Italian cooperation: the China- Italy Innovation Forum and the Sino-Italian Exchange Event.

Roadshow of promotion of the Italy-China Science Technology & Innovation Week 2016

Shenzhen, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing. 4 Steps. 4 Cities. 4 Bridges of cooperation between Italy and China on technology research and innovation. This is the aim of the Roadshow – promoted by the Italian Ministry of Research, MOST (Ministry of Science and Technology), Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, International Technology Transfer Network, Beijing Municipal Science Technology Commission and organized by Città della Scienza – that travelled across the cities in the South and South-West of China to enhance the synergies and to discuss exchange opportunities in view of the upcoming Italy-China Science Technology & Innovation Week 2016, the main cooperation event between Italy and China on science and technology, to be held in Italy in October 25-27, held in Italy on 25-27 October 2016.

ITALY INVITED AS COUNTRY OF HONOUR TO THE CHINA SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FAIR

Città della Scienza participated to the China Shanghai International Technology Fair, held from April 21 to 23 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

Italy was invited as Country of Honor at the technology fair and the Minister Stefania Giannini  represented the Italian Government with an institutional delegation composed by the Rector of the Polytechnic University of Turin Marco Gilli,  the CEO of Città della Scienza Vincenzo Lipardi and the Director Office VII of the General Direction for the coordination and research development of Ministry of Research Fabrizio Cobis. Città della Scienza coordinated, on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), a delegation of about 60 organizations, including research centers, universities and innovative companies, that introduced the national projects of excellence in the sector of Smart Cities.

In September 2016 the promotional mission of the National Technology Clusters was held with the aimto enhance cooperation in scientific and  technological fields between China and Italy, through the definition of clusters of industries and research centers in key sectors for the economies and the development strategies of both countries. The mission was held from 19 to 23 September 2016 and two national technological clusters participated to it: Cluster Smart Communities Tech and Cluster CLAN Agrifood.

Sixth edition of the China (Beijing) International Transfer Convention (ITTC)

The sixth edition of the China (Beijing) International Transfer Convention (ITTC) was held from 15th to 17th November 2016 in Beijing at the Beijing International Convention Centre. The event, promoted by the Chinese Ministry for Science and Technology, an exchange platform that represents the greatest event in the technology transfer field at the international level, as is evident in the numerous attendance of high level representatives coming from all parts of the world.

An initiative to promote a continuous dialogue between Italy and China about innovation, science and technology, to build partnerships in technology, production and trade in the innovative contexts research-enterprise: this is what the China-Italy Science, Technology & Innovation Week 2015 aims for. The event took place from 16th to 20th November in China and brought together in a single format, according to the back to back formula, the two main events of the Sino-Italian cooperation: the 6th edition of the China-Italy Innovation Forum and the 9th Sino-Italian Exchange Event.

Organized each year by the Chinese government, ITTC 2015 is the main event on technology transfer. It’s aimed at the development of an international cooperation platform in the fields of research, innovation and technology.

CHINA-ITALY INNOVATION FORUM (SPECIAL EDITION) – EXPO MILANO

The event was held in the “Waterstone”, the Pavilion of Intesa Sanpaolo at Expo.

This special edition of the Forum hosted the Italian Minister for Education, Universities and Research – Mrs. Stefania Giannini – and  the Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China – Mr. Wang Yang.

Mr. Gaetano Micchichè, the General Director of Intesa Sanpaolo, welcomed the Minister, the Vice-Premier and all the guests in the Pavilion. There were a lot of high level experts, such as the President of Expo, Mrs Diana Bracco.

On  13, 14 and 16 Ottobre 2014 it was held the Italy-China Science, Technology & Innovation Week in Naples, at Città della Scienza, and in Milan, at the presence of both countries Prime Ministers Matteo Renzi and Li Keqiang. The activities concerned the following sectors:  Aerospace, Biotechnologies, Creative Industries, Green Energy and clean Tech, Next Generation ICT, Smart Industry and Smart cities and Communities.

International Technology Transfer Convention

From 15 to 17 April 2014 Città della Scienza participated to the International Technology Transfer Convention that was held in Beijing and Guiyang.

Il 13, 14 e 16 Ottobre 2014 si è tenuta la Italy-China Science, Technology & Innovation Week a Napoli, presso Città della Scienza, e a Milano, alla presenza dei premier dei due paesi Matteo Renzi e Li Keqiang. Le attività svolte erano inerenti i seguenti settori: Aerospazio, Biotecnologie, Industrie creative, Energia verde e Clean Tech, Next Generation ICT, Smart Industry e Smart cities and Communities.

Thematic sessions and one-to-one meetings were held on the following sectors: Smart Cities, Biotechnologies, Green Chemistry, New Materials, Next Generation ICT and Healthcare.
